Job Description

Abbott House is seeking compassionate Child Care Workers to implement, monitor and evaluate the Youth’s service plans. As a Child Care Worker, you will provide the youngster individual and group services and will ensure that the day-to-day routines of the youth are maintained. You will assist the youngsters under your care with their daily schedules, daily hygiene, food preparation, and morning and nighttime routines. Positions available in White Plains, Mt. Kisco, Pleasantville and Swan Lake, NY. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that children are provided with a clean and safe environment.
  • Attend parent-teacher conferences and other school activities.
  • Inform Residence Manager of any problem affecting the functioning of the residence.
  • Manage the transportation of children to and from approved destinations.
  • Manage the purchase and preparation of food.
  • Evaluate the clothing needs of children and the purchasing of these items.
  • Assist with scheduling medical and dental appointments for the children

  • You have a high school diploma with 3 years of relevant experience.
