Hebrew Language Teacher
Job Summary
Jewish Community Center of Mid-Westchester (JCCMW) seeks part-time, in-person Hebrew language teacher for a college-level high school class through Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA). Classes will meet 2.5 hours on Thursday evenings, including a 15-minute break, for 27 weeks, from September to May. Students in 11th and 12th grade participating in this class will be highly motivated. They must apply to participate and pass a baseline assessment created by SUPA. All curriculum and materials are also provided by SUPA.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include movement within a classroom environment. The role requires the ability to write by hand and use a keyboard to perform general office functions. Also requires the ability to communicate by speech and hearing continuously. Visual acuity is needed for detailed work, and computer use. The ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time is also a requirement.
The starting salary for this role is $7,000 for the 27-weeks and based on experience.
