The STEM Alliance is a rapidly growing Westchester County nonprofit that is building a network of STEM learning opportunities for adults and children. Our goal is to empower our clients with STEM skills that not only lead to higher paying jobs but also solve today’s most critical challenges. The Program Coordinator sits at the heart of the Programs Team, playing a crucial role in the coordination and implementation of innovative STEM Enrichment and Digital Equity programs across the County. 

 

What You'd Be Doing

Position Overview:

The Program Coordinator is an associate level position that plays a critical role within our organization, focused on meticulous project management, fostering client relationships, and streamlining workflows for our special programmatic initiatives. The ideal candidate will independently oversee client relationships, manage special program projects, and build and maintain partnerships to enhance program quality and ensure returning partners.

 

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Program Coordination:

  • Coordinate staffing, program agreements, dates, and logistics for high-quality STEM programs.
  • Communicate program goals and objectives effectively with clients and partners.
  • Manage the Weekly Program Schedule
  • Create program registrations as needed on tech platforms
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team on marketing materials and website updates
  • Ensure Program Assistant staff maintain adequate inventory for scheduled programs
  • Resolve programmatic conflicts and report issues.
  • Track satisfaction and impact metrics for ongoing quality improvement.

Scholarship Outreach & Coordination:

  • Promote scholarship opportunities and connect low-income families with The STEM Alliance’s offerings

 

Marketing & Client Relations:

  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to promote programs.
  • Ensure timely invoicing of services with the Operations Team.
  • Independently oversee client relationships and manage special projects.
  • Build and nurture partnerships to enhance program quality and ensure returning partners

Minimum Qualifications

  • High-level experience with Google Workspace and workflow software like Asana or Monday.com.
  • Detail-oriented with strong project management skills
  • Ability to create efficient workflows and foster collaboration
  • Proven experience in managing client relationships and special projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in promoting programs and working with diverse populations, including low-income families
  • Leverage a proactive approach to managing special programmatic initiatives and ensuring the highest quality of service delivery
