Youth and Family Program Manager

Part time – 30 hours/wk

Job Summary

The Youth and Family Program Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Jewish youth programs and activities, from infants to high school. This role focuses on creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for young participants to learn, grow, and thrive. The Youth and Family Program Manager will collaborate with staff, volunteers, and community partners to ensure the success of our programs.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, instructors, and vendors.
  • Manage and oversee the various Jewish afterschool and weekend classes, workshops and events for youth, teens and families (ex. Teen Collab, Shabbat Club, Friday Night Shabbat Tots…)
  • Ensure all program payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with facilities and security to coordinate program logistics.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for parents and staff, addressing inquiries and concerns related to activities in the “Youth and Family” portfolio.
  • Provide regular updates and FAQs to parents as needed to enhance their understanding of our programs.
  • Manage Jewish Youth and Family Calendar
  • Attend and actively participate in community events, both internal and external, to promote our youth programs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to create promotional materials such as flyers, brochures, and social media content.
  • Create and update all program registrations and marketing, ensuring they align with program goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local Jewish organizations, schools, synagogues, and other community partners to promote programs and increase participation.
  • Reach out to families within the community to understand their needs and interests, and actively engage them in programmatic offerings.
  • Work closely with the marketing department to develop marketing materials that effectively communicate program details to potential participants.
  • Provide training and support to staff to ensure program quality.
  • Perform other related duties assigned by management

Skills, Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Jewish studies, education, social work, or a related field (Master's degree

preferred).

 Knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, and values, with a commitment to fostering Jewish identity and

continuity.

 Previous experience in program development, event planning, or community organizing, preferably in a Jewish communal setting.

 Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with

diverse stakeholders.

 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

 Proficiency in Google Suites, Microsoft Office Suite and database management.

 A passion for youth development and community engagement.

 Employs excellent judgment and decision making skills.

This is a part-time position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate programmatic needs and community events. This includes: - Approximately One (1) Friday evening each month, September - June - Six (6) Saturdays between January - March -Thursday evenings for teen programs, September - June  The Youth and Family Program Manager will report to Senior Director of Jewish Culture and Care Services.
