The Clinic-Based Supervising Clinician is responsible for the supervision of clinicians and interns on clinical and administrative functions and maintains a trauma-responsive, culturally congruent stance on clinical care. The Clinic-Based Supervising Clinician conducts client screenings, evaluations, and treatment, as the primary clinician for assigned clients and is expected to meet a productivity contact commitment of 10 billable hours per week. The Clinic-Based Supervising Clinician provides clinical coverage on a rotating basis for the on-call schedule and is supervised by the Sr. Regional Director of Clinic-Based Director.
Essential Duties of Clinician - Supervising
Key duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provides oversight of clinical work for assigned clinicians; monitors and evaluates clinical and administrative performance; is responsible for the quality of clinical care for cases supervised.
- Provides clinical supervision and coaching weekly for clinical staff
- Supports the implementation of clinically appropriate treatment plans and all related documentation for client records in the electronic health record
- Provides psychotherapy to clients and their families using individual, group, and family intervention as well as other agency approved evidenced-based treatment modalities, including off-site visits
- Promotes integrated, person-centered care
- Supports evaluation of program services to enhance client outcomes and acts as a positive change agent to implement clinical initiatives to increase quality client care
- Serves as on-call Supervising Clinician as scheduled on a rotating basis
- Act as a resource to clinical staff by maintaining knowledge of OMH regulations and standards of care as they relate to clinical practice
Essential Qualifications of Clinician Supervising
Key qualifications include:
- Licensed (LCSW, LCSW-R, Ph.D or Psy.D) with a current professional license in NYS.
- Must have at least (4) four years of clinical experience including (3) three years of supervisory and administrative experience.
- Relevant clinical experience with children, adolescent and families
- Knowledge of and experience with multiple modalities and evidence-based Interventions
- Strong computer skills, with knowledge of electronic health record system
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to meet session productivity standards
Physical/Travel Requirements of Clinician - Supervising
Must have ability to reach, walk, sit for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend, lift up to 20lbs, and able to travel. Driver’s license preferred.
