Director of Development – The Acceleration Project (TAP)

Are you passionate about driving impactful change and helping under-resourced small business owners? Join The Acceleration Project (TAP) as our Director of Development and be a critical part of our mission to close income and wealth gaps and accelerate success for underserved entrepreneurs.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead grant strategy: Drive TAP's grant revenue goals by cultivating relationships with foundations and identifying new opportunities.
• Manage grant writing: Produce   grant proposals, ensuring alignment with TAP's mission and funder priorities.
• Build partnerships: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with foundation managers, major donors, and corporate sponsors.
• Support fundraising and board initiatives: Collaborate with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) to execute key fundraising strategies, steward boards, and support major donors.

• Communication and Coordination: Craft donor-specific impact reports and personalized communications that highlight the tangible benefits of philanthropic support.

What We’re Looking For:

• 4-7 years of development experience with a focus on grant writing and fundraising.
• Proven success in managing donor and foundation relationships.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
• Passion for empowering underserved small businesses.
