Founded in 1929, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle (BGCNR) has been a place of hope and opportunity serving thousands of youths and has been an integral part of the New Rochelle community, offering youth safe and achieve-driven programming, focused on the whole child, encompassing academics, mental wellness, fitness, leadership, and civics.

Today, we serve over 8,000 youth each year, at two clubhouses and 12 school-sites. We offer after-school, before-school, elective, and summer programming designed to maximize positive impact and drive successful outcomes.

It is an exciting time to be at the BGCNR as we continue to expand school-sites in Westchester introducing and expanding innovative programs and activities, growing high need areas (health and mental wellness, STEAM/STEM, workforce development).

 

General Position

The Enrollment Marketing/Events Manager is responsible for managing a results-driven organizational wide enrollment plan reporting to the CPO and secondary to the CEO working with Clubhouse and School-Sites Directors. The Manager will work closely with the CEO, Marketing, Resource Development, CPO, Board, to plan and coordinate special events that meet program or fundraising goals. Evaluate and reports results, with recommendations for modifying enrollment plans and events to improve success.

 

Key Position Responsibilities

Enrollment Marketing

  • Responsible for development and implementation of a results-driven plan which leads to the increased enrollment of new members, children, teens through recruitment and retention of current members.
  • Work closely with CPO, CEO, Marketing, Clubhouse and School-Site Directors on the development and implementation of an organizational wide enrollment plan while customizing enrollments plans for each Clubhouse and School-Sites to meet enrollment targets.
  • Partner with CPO, CEO, Clubhouse and School Directors to establish and strive to reach goals for each Clubhouse and School-Site for enrollment and retention.
  • Partner with CPO, CEO, Clubhouse and School Directors to create and reach activity goals (district//school newsletters, parent nights, principal/teacher meetings, PTAs, open houses, social media such as Facebook groups like mom of NR, events at churches, coffee shops, libraries, monthly parent zoom meetings, etc.)
  • Responsible for generating increased awareness of BGCNR within all of its target constituencies including parents, school administrators and teachers, care takers, alumni, donors, local churches, and within the broader community.
  • Provide a data driven enrollment management process.

 

Special Events

  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of organizational wide special events, working with CEO, Marketing, Resource Development, Staff and volunteers to coordinate activities and facilitate communications.
  • Negotiate with vendors and sponsors to obtain space, refreshments/catering, audio-visual needs, event journals and all related materials and resources that ensure event success.
  • Plan creative events that facilitate solicitation of donations from target audiences.
  • Identify and recruit corporate sponsors to underwrite event expenses or to donate gifts, cash or in-kind services to minimize expenses.
  • Ensure effective program implementation and administration, making sure all events and related logistics and support activities are carried out to schedule.

 

Budgeting, Tracking and Reporting

  • Evaluate success of enrollment plan and special events, as determined by appropriate measures such as attendance, revenues generated, public relations activity, enrollment in Club and school-site memberships.
  • Develop and manage budgets for enrollment, retention, major organization wide events.

             

Relationship:

Internal:  Maintains close, daily contact with BGCNR Leadership team and Directors to exchange information, seek and give assistance, consideration and direction. Maintain contact with financial staff, support staff and volunteers.

External:  Maintains contact with community leaders, schools, parents, and local residents to encourage participation in enrollment activities and special events and provide information regarding club activities and needs.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience. Prefer business, marketing, sales, areas of focus.
  • A minimum of two years work experience with an emphasis on enrollment and/or grassroots marketing, special events planning and implementation, project management, budgeting, and community relations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to easily communicate with individuals from widely varying backgrounds.
  • Take initiative to make things happen and get things done, strong project management and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Prefer experience with CRM and Donor Management systems.
  • Knowledge of general bookkeeping principles to track expenses and revenues.
  • Ability to pass background screening including background screening.

Compensation:

Compensation and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience starting at $55-65,000.
