Founded in 1929, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle (BGCNR) has been a place of hope and opportunity serving thousands of youths and has been an integral part of the New Rochelle community, offering youth safe and achievement-driven programming, focused on the whole child, encompassing academics, mental wellness, fitness, leadership, and civics.

Today, we serve over 8,000 youth each year, at two clubhouses and 12 school-sites. We offer after-school, before-school, elective, and summer programming designed to maximize positive impact and drive successful outcomes.

It is an exciting time to be at the BGCNR as we continue to expand school-sites in New Rochelle, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, introduce and expand innovative programs and activities, grow high need areas (health and mental wellness, STEAM/STEM, workforce development).

 

General Position

The Partnership Development Manager is responsible for developing and building strong relationships with partners, including corporates, businesses, foundations, and donors. The Manager will develop, build and manage partnerships with current and new corporates, businesses, foundations, individuals and community organizations.

The Partnership Development Manager is a strong relationship and project manager who can develop and cultivate relationships with a variety of businesses, their leadership, content subject matter experts, and Corporate Social Responsibility leads. The Partnership Development Manager is a problem-solver, communicator and upseller. The individual will navigate partners from diverse industries and sectors. This challenge should be met by someone who is adept at learning the challenges and goals of their accounts and matching them with the various programs and target demographics that BGCNR has access to.

 

Key Position Responsibilities

  • Identify potential partnership opportunities and conduct market research.
  • Assess potential partners’ alignment with BGCNR’s goals and values.
  • Assist Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Programming Officer (CPO) in creating partnerships proposals and strategies to approach potential collaborators.
  • Manage pre-meeting activity, including pitch, presentation, and proposals.
  • Cultivate potential donors and prospective corporate funders by managing and successfully delivering projects, events and BGCNR program engagements.
  • Secure sponsorship opportunities with local, regional and national businesses and organizations.
  • Developing a pipeline of new prospects including conducting cold calls on a regular basis.
  • Act as central point of contact for partner organizations.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between partners.
  • Managing partnerships aligned with organization’s objectives, and working closely with CEO, CPO, and cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align partnership objectives with organizational goals.
  • Work closely with CPO developing programmatic content collaborating with partner subject matter experts.
  • Track results and create reports for all partners as determined by the partnership agreements.
  • Monitor the progress and success of partnerships against predefined metrics.
  • Analyze partnership data and provide regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance partnership outcomes and address challenges.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and partners to help promote programs and services.

             

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, related fields and or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 5 years’ experience in strategic partnerships, budgeting, sales/marketing, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to build trust and rapport with key internal and external decision makers at partner organizations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively convey partnership plans and updates to stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage complex partnership projects from initiation to execution.
  • Data-driven approach to evaluating partnership performance and identifying areas for optimization.
  • Ability to manage systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including donor database and wealth screening tools.
  • Highly proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office (especially Excel and power Point, Word).
  • Demonstrated ability to work both as a team member and independently with minimal supervision within a time-sensitive, participatory environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with great attention to detail, strong with follow through and tracking.
  • Goal-oriented detailed-oriented with ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to pass background screening.

Compensation:

Compensation and benefits will be competitive and commensurate with education and experience starting at $60-65,000.
