Job Description:

 

The Director of a Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) program has a multifaceted role that includes both administrative and academic responsibilities. The Program will provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to ensure the program's academic excellence and growth. The Director will oversee curriculum development, faculty recruitment, student admissions, and program evaluation, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Leadership and Administration:

 

• Provide overall leadership and management of the MSPH program.

 

• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the program's reputation and impact.

 

• Oversee the program's budget, resources, and operational activities.

 

Curriculum Development:

 

• Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the MSPH curriculum.

 

• Ensure the curriculum aligns with current public health trends and best practices.

 

• Collaborate with faculty to integrate innovative teaching methods and technologies.

 

Faculty and Staff Management:

 

• Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff members.

 

• Foster a supportive and collaborative work environment.

 

• Promote professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.

 

Student Engagement and Support:

 

• Oversee the student admissions process, including recruitment and selection.

 

• Provide academic advising and support to students.

 

• Develop initiatives to enhance student engagement, retention, and success.

 

Program Evaluation and Accreditation:

 

• Monitor and assess program outcomes and effectiveness.

 

• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and requirements.

 

• Prepare and submit accreditation reports and documentation.

 

Community and Industry Engagement:

 

• Build and maintain partnerships with public health organizations, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.

 

• Promote the program through outreach, marketing, and public relations efforts.

 

• Represent the program at conferences, seminars, and professional meetings.

Qualifications:

 

• Doctoral degree in Public Health or a related field.

 

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in public health education or administration.

 

• Proven leadership and management skills.

 

• Strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.

 

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

 

• Experience with curriculum development and accreditation processes.

 

Hours Expectation:

 

Full-time, 35 hours per week
