Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions plays a key role in driving Manhattanville University's enrollment strategy for transfer, non-traditional freshman, Veteran, and international transfer students. The Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions oversees recruitment and yield initiatives, ensuring a seamless and student-centered admission experience from inquiry to enrollment. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director leads the development and execution of policies, partnerships, and pathways that attract and enroll qualified transfer students. They serve as a campus and community connector, responsible for building strong relationships with community colleges, high schools, academic deans, faculty, and external partners. This role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution. The Assistant Director of Transfer Admissions will analyze data trends, proactively adjust recruitment and enrollment tactics, and collaborate with marketing, academic affairs, and campus stakeholders to elevate Manhattanville's visibility and impact. The Assistant Director also supports and guides admissions staff on transfer-related processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency throughout the transfer experience. Duties/Responsibilities:
• Coordinate the recruitment and yield efforts for non-traditional freshmen, transfer, and Veteran students.
• Develop and manage transfer articulation agreements with targeted institutions.
• Partner with academic departments to continually evaluate and expand existing course transfer agreements.
• Accurately update and maintain software programs related to National and International Student Transfer Libraries.
• Represent the University in professional organizations for transfer admission and non-traditional student recruitment/enrollment.
• Recruit at community colleges, cultivate professional relationships with institutions, and serves as a primary point of contact with community college representatives.
• Conduct ongoing evaluation of transfer student experiences, including advising, transfer credit evaluation, and transitional experiences for incoming transfer students.
• Reads transfer applications and determines admissions eligibility by evaluating academic and non-academic credentials based on established standards.
• Participates in debriefing exercises to assess the success of recruitment and outreach efforts.
• Serves as liaison to on-campus departments and off-campus organizations to help increase the volume and quality of transfer applications.
• Work with Admission and Enrollment Services on all transfer and credit issues for academic record keeping and processing.
• Work with advisors of the community college state system to facilitate a seamless transfer process.
• Work closely with the Director of Undergraduate Admission on the development and implementation of enrollment goals and recruitment strategies for transfer and non-traditional students.
• Collaborate with the Military Resource Center to support student veterans through all phases of the enrollment process.
• Manage complex information and data which enhances recruitment and yield efforts for transfer and non-traditional students.
• Plan and organize recruitment and yield events in collaboration with the rest of the admissions team, highlighting and supporting the needs of transfer and non-traditional students.
• Recruit prospective students; read and evaluate applications for admissions decisions.
• Evaluates the applicants' records for transfer coursework and provides an estimation of acceptable transfer credits.
• Travel in-state and out-of-state and work some non-standard hours, Weekend and evening hours required
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Admissions.

Qualifications:
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable and unlimited access to a vehicle

• Proven ability to analyze data to identify trends and drive innovation within the related field.
Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
Master's Degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years of progressively responsible full-time professional experience in higher education in college/university admissions and/or advising, or other enrollment management units, including experience with non-traditional student populations.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Must be able to drive
Hours Expectation:
Full-time, 35 hours per week
