As one of 68 University Centers of Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), WIHD is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities and vulnerable children through professional education, direct service provision, and innovative research. First established in 1950 in Manhattan, WIHD moved to Westchester County, NY in 1972 and has been a key regional resource providing a wide range of medical, dental, clinical and social services. CEO Position Summary: The President and CEO provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for WIHD, ensuring alignment with its mission to advance health, education, and advocacy for people with disabilities and vulnerable children and their families. Reporting to the Board of Directors, this role oversees organizational strategy, governance, operations, and financial sustainability; fosters partnerships with community, government, and academic institutions; and serves as WIHD’s primary representative in policy and public engagement.
