About Us & Background:   Circle of Care (CoC) is a Connecticut-based nonprofit organization founded to address the non-medical challenges families face during childhood cancer.

Today we are supporting 275 families with a broad array of programs and resources tailored to meet the unique needs arising from childhood cancer treatment. Since our founding, more than 4,000 families have received $6M in direct assistance. To learn more about Circle of Care and our role in serving these families, please visit thecircleofcare.org.

Consulting Engagement Goals:

  • broaden and deepen CoC’s reach and knowledge of the regional business, civic, and philanthropic landscape,
  • nurture and establish relationships with new supporters and businesses,
  • identify and engage with new program partners and resources,
  • increase our visibility to the region’s philanthropic stakeholders, businesses, and local communities.

Consultant Competencies:   Current knowledge of the region’s civic, business, and philanthropic eco-system is required. This role is ideal for a relationship-oriented professional who communicates exceptionally well, embraces Circle of Care’s mission, deeply enjoys friend and fundraising, engages a positive and entrepreneurial approach in making introductions and connections, can synthesize and apply new information with ease, and has developed and executed successful business, program, or philanthropy plans and projects.

On occasion, the consultant may need to perform light work, like traveling and walking to and from meetings and events, setting up for and making in-person presentations, and carrying items related to implementing work described in the scope of services.
