ABOUT WAINWRIGHT HOUSE:

The Wainwright House in Rye, NY was founded in 1951 by Fonrose Wainwright Condict. Fonrose decided to dedicate her family estate as a non-profit, non-sectarian, holistic learning center. The estate now includes 5.1 acres of grounds overlooking Milton Harbor, a mansion in style of a French chateau, carriage house and a smaller cottage.

For almost 75 years, Wainwright House has been the site of conferences, meetings, sacred ceremonies, and classes in a variety of disciplines, ranging from Far Eastern religions to Christianity, from relatively pragmatic self-help to mysticism-inspired philosophies. Luminaries who have visited Wainwright House include Joseph Campbell, Ram Dass, Aldous Huxley, and Dr. Bernie Siegel.

Today, Wainwright House continues to host these events and serves the Westchester community by providing a venue for social and corporate events, wellness and movement classes, and sacred ceremonies. The facilities include three buildings with meeting rooms, dining rooms, a meditation room, library, solarium, and lodging for programs and retreats.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are presently seeking a full-time Programming Manager to drive Wainwright House programming and boost community engagement via our website, newsletter, and social media channels. The ideal candidate will have experience spearheading all aspects of program curation and will be attracted to Wainwright House’s mission.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the creation and continuous evolution of Wainwright House’s programming by identifying community trends, sourcing facilitators, and delivering high-quality events across multiple modalities
• Conceptualize and execute end-to-end promotional campaigns for events while tailoring messaging and visuals for different audiences and channels
• Support our Director and Board of Trustees in building a strong membership offering
• Boost relationship building with other non-profits and local community organizations
• Manage all marketing materials, newsletter, social media channels, and website content (Wix)
• Will include support for additional events at times and other administrative support for programs
• Reports to the Director and General Manager of Wainwright House

POSITION Requirements:

• 3+ years of proven experience planning, promoting and executing a variety of programs
• Excellent relationship building and relationship management experience
• Interest in wellness, personal growth and mission-driven programming
• Broad creative and communication capabilities
• Experience maintaining, tracking and expanding social media presence, and creation and upkeep of email funnels
• Ability to create on-brand, print-ready flyers and digital event materials
• Proficiency in design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
• Familiarity with using website design programs, such as Wix
