Fundraising Manager

SUMMARY

The Fundraising Manager is an important contributor to HOPE’s public profile and its financial security and is responsible for creating and implementing fundraising strategies to support HOPE’s mission and objectives. The primary focus is on generating financial support through various fundraising initiatives and cultivating and maintaining donor relationships to ensure the organization’s sustainability and growth.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years proven experience in fundraising, development within the nonprofit sector. Demonstrated success in implementing and managing fundraising campaigns and securing major gifts. Demonstrated success in implementing and managing fundraising campaigns and securing major gifts. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including grant writing and persuasive story telling. Ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, board members, staff, and volunteers. Familiarity with fundraising databases and donor-management software; experience with Bloomerang a plus. Strong organizational and project management skills, with an ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Enthusiasm for HOPE’s mission and a commitment to its values. Understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities associated with small nonprofit organizations.

DUTIES

• Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the organization’s priorities. Plan and help to host fundraising activities related to HOPE’s goals, including annual giving campaigns, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, events, and planned giving.
• Identify and engage potential donors and corporate partners. Cultivate relationships with existing and new donors to secure ongoing financial support.
• Research and identify appropriate grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies. Prepare grant proposals, track status of grant applications, track and record funds awarded during the grant application process.
• Manage the individual giving program, including donor recognition, acknowledgments, and stewardship efforts.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events to attract donors and increase awareness of the organization.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Volunteer Coordinator to identify fundraising opportunities and outreach activities for the volunteers.
• Oversee the maintenance of the doner database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of donors, contributions, and interactions.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director to develop a budget for fundraising and manage the effective use of resources. Provide regular reports on fundraising efforts, financial performance, and progress toward fundraising goals to the Executive Director.
• Work closely with the Executive Director to create fundraising materials, promotional campaigns, and donor communication strategies.
