SOUL RYEDERS is a Rye, New York-based 501(c)(3) public charity with a  mission to provide personalized resources, innovative programs, and community support to anyone in the New York Tri-State area impacted by any type of cancer. 

Through services including oncology social worker support, wellness programs, educational resources, support groups, wig exchange, and more, SOUL RYEDERS helps clients navigate every stage of a cancer diagnosis with dignity, confidence, hope, and compassion.

Position Summary

SOUL RYEDERS seeks an experienced, highly organized, and relationship-driven Director of Development to lead the execution of the organization's fundraising initiatives and sponsored events.

This individual will manage all aspects of development for the organization. The ideal candidate is experienced at cultivating sponsor and donor relationships, engaging new potential sponsors and donors, tracking fundraising progress, coordinating donor communications, and developing long-term relationships and systems to strengthen organizational growth through major donors, foundations and corporate support.

This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong judgment, outstanding project management skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce, implement and advance SOUL RYEDERS' annual development plan.
  • Manage the execution and tracking of annual development revenue. Monitor performance and provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate donor records, fundraising reports, and development tracking systems.
  • Lead all individual and major donor fundraising activities including identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
  • Manage the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and appeals.
  • Manage all corporate sponsorship efforts including identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.
  • Engage and build peer-to-peer fundraising efforts and coordination.
  • Cultivate new fundraising opportunities and strategic partnerships.
  • Research, identify and produce applications for foundation, grant, corporate, and community-based funding. Manage all grant application coordination and reporting.
  • Create fundraising presentations, sponsorship materials, and donor-facing collateral using established style guide and/or deliver creative briefs to designers to develop required materials.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers for the annual Half Marathon & 5K with ownership of all fundraising efforts.
  • Represent SOUL RYEDERS professionally at community events and organizational functions.
  • Help strengthen SOUL RYEDERS' visibility and reputation throughout the region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, partnerships, business development, and/or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success managing donor engagement initiatives.
  • Experience working with sponsorship programs and corporate partnerships.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing budgets and tracking fundraising performance.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Project Management software (i.e. Mondays.com), Bloomerang (or other donor crm) and presentation software.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Compensation

  • Salary $75,000 - $90,000
  • Health benefit reimbursement, if qualified.
